Students ages six and up are auditioned into the progressive division by faculty members with a professional ballet background and several years of ballet teaching experience. Progressive division students are children seeking ballet training on a more serious and potentially higher level of training in the future. Students are accepted into the progressive division after a successful audition or placement class. Training in the progressive division is more intense and requires more of a time commitment from both the student and the student’s parents. All students in the progressive division are carefully molded and trained from our experienced ballet faculty. The progressive division placement is based on the student’s ability and not age.
ALL ITEMS BELOW CAN BE PURCHASED AT OUR APPAREL SHOP - “Tutu Bella” LOCATED IN OUR FACILITIES.
Progressive division students must wear their class uniform to each and every class. Hair must be in a bun or neatly secured to the head. No loose hair is allowed around the face. No pony tails. Pink tights worn over the feet and pink ballet slippers with elastics sewn are to be worn at all times. No jewelry will be worn on the neck, wrists, or ankles. Small stud earrings are allowed. Leg warmers are only allowed if the dancer has an injury. Shoulder shrugs may be worn in the colder months. Fitted ballet sweaters (not wrap sweater) are permitted for Ballet 1A, 2A, and 3A students only.
Students in level 4A and above are expected to make up classes that are missed. Make up classes may be fulfilled in the same level or the level below.
Late arrival to the class is discouraged. If a student arrives more then 15 minutes late they may not physically take the class, but will be asked to observe.
Please register for all required classes and workshops in a timely fashion. Placement in the progressive division requires a year round commitment. If a student is unable to keep that commitment a general division class will be suggested.
To maintain their placement students must commit to the following classes.
