Dress Code

Hair

For all dance classes hair must be worn up and secured away from the face. For ballet class hair must be worn in a bun with bangs neatly pinned or sprayed back. No pony tails for ballet class.

Attire

ALL ITEMS BELOW CAN BE PURCHASED AT OUR APPAREL SHOP - “Tutu Bella” LOCATED IN OUR FACILITIES.

• Jazz Class

• Pre Pro I, I, III modern: black footless tights worn Over leotard

Tap

The dancers will learn to build simple tap steps as they develop rhythm and precision. Dancers are taught to express themselves through the movement, music, and personality of the piece.

Jazz

Study jazz through many venues: theatre jazz, traditional jazz, and hip hop. The jazz instructor will explore each jazz form giving the individual a whole picture of jazz technique. Rhythm, special awareness, and form are strongly focused.

• Jazz I (5-6 year olds)
• Jazz II (6-8 year olds)
• Jazz II/III (7-9 year olds)
• Jazz III/IV (8-10 year olds)
• Jazz V (10-13 year olds)
• Int Jazz (audition only)

Hip Hop Classes

• Hip Hop Class (5-6 year olds)
• Hip Hop Class (6-8 year olds)
• Hip Hop Class (9-12 year olds)
• Tenn Hip Hop Class (13 years old and up)

Modern

Explore movement that allows for release, the shifting of one’s weight on and off the floor, and the use of improvisation. Strength and flexibility as well as a focus on body awareness and movement quality are strongly emphasized.

• Modern II (11-14 year olds)
• Pre Pro I Modern (audition only)
• Pre Pro II/III Modern (audition only)
